When “free” is expensive

On Wednesday, Hubspot published a blog post that horrified bloggers every where.

They had been contacted by a law firm about a copyright violation.  Problem is, they follow all of the applicable laws, either purchasing photos or giving correct attribution.

However, one of the photos they posted, in compliance with the rules of the Creative Commons, wasn’t really Creative Commons at all.  The photo was “stolen” and posted on Flickr.
